Brett‘s career in the structural engineering industry spans more than 30 years, both in New Zealand and internationally. He is associated with some of the most iconic buildings throughout the South Island across a breadth of sectors, including commercial, sport and recreation and residential. Brett has significant expertise in the management and coordination of structural and civil design teams.

He has also been heavily involved with post trauma structural assessment, demolition strategy and earthquake strengthening following the Canterbury earthquakes and was a member of the World Trade Centre structural response team following the 9/11 attack.

He has also been involved with numerous assessments of existing buildings and the subsequent development of strengthening designs.

Vincent has provided structural engineering design on numerous projects across New Zealand. He enjoys working in a team environment, and has previous experience working in a multi-disciplinary engineering office.

Vincent is able to understand the vision and desired outcome for a project and enjoys the challenge of adapting and applying structural concepts in 'out of the box' ways to assist the project team in delivering them. He has successfully achieved this with his structural design over a wide range of commercial, residential, industrial and educational projects.

Andrew’s background in civil engineering brings an added dimension to the Quoin offering. He is highly experienced in bridge engineering, tunnel and retaining wall design, both here and offshore. Andrew is also well regarded for his competency in developing seismic strengthening solutions.

Proficient in four languages and two dialects, Andrew is an asset to our offshore clients involved in New Zealand projects.

Brad joined us as a Graduate from the University of Canterbury in 2022. He has a passion for earthquake engineering and spent his final year researching long period earthquake amplifications for structures.

He has worked on multiple commercial projects to date and undertaken construction monitoring on both residential and commercial projects.

Enthusiastic to learn, Brad enjoys developing his engineering expertise alongside our experienced Quoin team.

With more than 28 years in design and build, Sam has developed an enviable expertise in structural and architectural draughting. He has also witnessed many a trend in the construction sector and has developed a rare skill in overlaying practicality without forfeiting form.

Sam’s experience in structural design is well-rounded and covers commercial, industrial and residential projects including new builds, alterations and remedial work and is highly adept at facilitating the necessary compliance associated with a given project.
